Met de IP (Ingress Protection)-classificatie wordt de soort beveiliging op apparaten en machines aangeduid.
Aan de hand van de tweecijferige IP-code kunnen gebruikers zien tegen welke omstandigheden het apparaat
bestand is. De twee cijfers in de code staan los van elkaar en geven allebei een apart niveau van
bescherming aan.
LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt USB-C heeft een veiligheidsclassificatie van IP 54.

hostpoort op uw computer. Wanneer u de LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt USB-C aansluit via een
USB 2.0-verbinding, levert dit een maximale snelheid op van 480Mb/s.
Belangrijke informatie over de IP-classificatie en de poortbescherming: de IP 54-classificatie van
de LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt USB-C geldt alleen wanneer de bescherming goed op het apparaat
is bevestigd. U kunt de bescherming bevestigen wanneer u de geïntegreerde Thunderbolt-kabel
gebruikt. U kunt de bescherming echter niet bevestigen wanneer u de USB-poort gebruikt.
