Om het apparaat in te schakelen, drukt u één seconde op de led-knop.
Uitschakelen
Volg de onderstaande stappen om het apparaat uit te schakelen:
1. Zorg ervoor dat alle volumes van de d2 Professional op het apparaat zijn afgesloten.
2. Werp de volumes uit. Zie Uw apparaat veilig verwijderen van uw computer voor instructies. Als de
schijven zijn uitgeworpen, schakelt het apparaat over naar de energiebesparende stand.
3. Houd de led-knop lang (minstens vier seconden) ingedrukt. Het lampje wordt blauw voordat het apparaat
uitschakelt.
Energiebesparende modus
Uw d2 Professional kan energie sparen door over te schakelen naar de energiebesparende modus. De harde
schijf in de behuizing stopt met draaien zodat het energieverbruik wordt verminderd als het apparaat zich in
de energiebesparende modus bevindt. Met de energiebesparende modus kunt u de levensduur van de
harde schijf verlengen omdat deze niet draait wanneer er langere tijd niets gebeurt.
Handmag de energiebesparende modus opstarten
U kunt d2 Professional in de energiebesparende modus zetten met behulp van de led-knop.
1. Zorg ervoor dat alle volumes van de d2 Professional op het apparaat zijn afgesloten.
2. Werp de volumes uit. Zie Uw apparaat veilig verwijderen van uw computer voor instructies. Als de
schijven zijn uitgeworpen, schakelt het apparaat over naar de energiebesparende stand.
3. Druk kort op de led-knop. Kort ingedrukt houden betekent niet langer dan 1 seconde.
Om het apparaat te activeren, drukt u nog een keer kort op de led-knop.
Energiebesparende modus: met PC/Mac
U kunt de energiebesparende modus op uw computer starten.
1. Zet de hostcomputer in de slaapmodus.
2. macOS: ga naar Systeemvoorkeuren > Energiestand om de slaapmodus voor harde schijven in te
schakelen.
Windows: ga naar Configuratiescherm > Hardware > Energie-opties > Een energieschema kiezen >
Geavanceerde energie-instellingen wijzigen. Klik op Harde schijf en Harde schijf uitschakelen na. Selecteer
na hoeveel tijd de USB-harde schijf moet worden gedeactiveerd.
