Die LaCie 6big und LaCie 12big sind Desktop-Festplattengehäuse, die bis zu sechs bzw. zwölf 3,5-Zoll-
Festplatten aufnehmen können.
Vorkonfigurierte Gehäuse sind mit leistungsstarken Enterprise-Festplatten von Seagate bestückt. Für den
Fall, dass ein Festplattenproblem auftritt oder die Speicherkapazität erweitert werden muss, ist jede
einzelne Festplatte Hot-Swap-fähig und vor Ort austauschbar. Neue Festplatten oder Ersatzfestplatten
müssen die folgenden Mindestkriterien erfüllen:
SATA I oder höher
3,0 Gbit/s oder höher
bis zu 7.200 U/min
64 MB Cache oder mehr
Speicherverwaltung
Der Speicher der LaCie 6big und LaCie 12big wird vom Dienstprogramm LaCie RAID Manager verwaltet.
