Colour Options Properties (Colour Tab)
1 Colour Control
This setting allows you to adjust the colours produced by the printer to achieve
different results. If can be used to produce special effects, such as bright, solid colours,
or to compensate for different colour display characteristics between the monitor and
the printer.
The printer allows you to select different colour control options for bitmaps
(photographs), graphics (line art), and text.
No Colour Adjustment: prints the colours without making any adjustments.
Image Colour Matching: uses Windows’ standard colour control features to produce the
highest quality colour output for photographs. This is the default setting. (Note: this
setting is only available for photographs.)
Photographs: preserves the balance and relative colour values from the screen to the
printed page. Photographs or Image Colour Matching generally gives the highest
quality output for photographs.
Presentations: prints with pure, bright colours. This setting is often desirable when
printing text or printing graphics to be used for presentations. It is the default setting
when media type is Transparency.
Screen Matched: reproduces each colour from the screen to the printed page as
precisely as possible. Each colour is matched individually, whereas in Image Colour
Matching and Photographs the overall appearance and balance of the picture as a
whole is preserved.
8 Primary Colours: prints every colour on the page in the closest primary: White,
Black, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, or Magenta.
