Care and maintenance
Cleaning the outside of the oven
Remove dirt, stains or residual cleaning agents as quickly as possible.
Only clean the surface with a soft cloth dampened in soapy water in the direction of
the metal surface polishing and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Never rub abrasive clean-
ing materials, such as all-purpose scouring sponges, metal sponges, etc. on the
chrome steel surfaces, as these would then be scratched, causing damage. This will
damage the surface. Remove cleaning agents as soon as they have been applied.
Interior oven care
In order to remove these stains, clean the oven, if possible, when it is still quite warm.
Only use a soft cloth moistened with soapy water and wipe the oven afterwards with
another soft cloth. Never use abrasive materials such as scouring sponges or metal
scourers, etc., since these will damage the surface.
Stains which have already dried out are easier to remove if the oven is operated using
the steaming mode at a temperature of 80 °C for a short time (approx. 30 minutes)
prior to cleaning. This will soften the stains.
Blue-coloured tarnishing and lime-scaling are easy to remove with a slightly-acidic
cleaning agent or with a little conventional citric acid.
In order to facilitate cleaning the oven, various parts can easily be removed, as
described below.
Temperature gauges in the oven can be damaged very easily.
Do not bend them while cleaning the oven.
The oven can become soiled through spatters, especially when meat is being
roasted. These stains are much more visible than in enamelled ovens.
The interior of the oven will take on a golden colour after having been used for
some time. This is normal in the case of stainless steel, and does not have any
influence on the cooking and baking properties, nor does it represent an
impairment of the appliance.
