Tips en trucs voor het stomen
Bij het stomen met 100 °C kunt u meerdere gerechten tegelijk bereiden. Zo kunt u
bijv. rijst of peulvruchten samen met groenten met een soortgelijke bereidingsduur
energie- en serviesbesparend klaarmaken.
Granen (bijv. rijst of gierst) en peulvruchten (bijv. linzen) kunnen met de passende hoe-
veelheid vloeistof (zie tabel) direct in geschikt tafelservies (bijv. porseleinen of glazen
schotel o.d.) worden bereid.
Bij het stomen in de geperforeerde kookbak vermindert de eronder geschoven roest-
vrijstalen plaat de hoeveelheid condensaat op de bodem van het apparaat. Ook ge-
ringe afdruppelende deeltjes van het gerecht kunnen met de roestvrijstalen plaat
worden opgevangen en zo heel gemakkelijk worden schoongemaakt.
Het verdient aanbeveling groenten pas na het stomen met zout, peper of specerijen
te kruiden.
