9 SETTING AND OPERATION
9.1 Switching on and off
▪ Press the on key (1) to turn on the device. The tool will default to the single-distance
measuring mode.
▪ Press about 3 seconds on the off key (2) to turn off the device.
▪ When the measuring tool is inactive for 5 minutes, it will automatically turn off to save
battery power.
9.2 Measuring procedure
▪ Hold the tool at the point from which you want to measure. Press key 1 to turn on the
laser.
▪ The laser is aimed at the object to be measured. Press key 1 again to take a
measurement.
▪ Note: the laser will switch off after 20 seconds of inactivity. Press on the on key (1) again
to turn device back on.
WARNING: Do not point the laser beam at persons or animals and do not
look into the laser beam yourself, not even from a large distance.
9.3 Single distance measurement
▪ Press the on key (1) to turn on the device. The tool will default to the single-distance
measuring mode.
▪ Press key 1 again to turn on the laser, the laser indicator is visible. Aim the laser at the
target you want to measure.
▪ Press key 1 again to take a measurement.
9.4 Continuous measurement (fig.3)
▪ The continuous measurement function is used for transferring measurements, e.g., form
construction plans. In the continuous measurement mode the measuring tool can be
moved relative to the target and the measured value is updated.
▪ Press key 1 a couple of seconds to enter the continuous measurement mode.
▪ The selected size for localization can be used for continuous measurement to find the
required distance or maximum value and minimum value (fig.4).
9.5 Rectangular area measurement (fig.5)
▪ Press main function key (7) to enter rectangular area measuring mode.
▪ Press measuring key (1) to begin corresponding measuring operation.
9.6 Cubic volume measurement (fig.6)
▪ Press main function key (7) to enter cubic volume measuring mode.
▪ Press measuring key (1) to begin corresponding measuring operation.
9.7 Triangle area measurement (fig.7)
▪ Press main function key (7) to enter triangle area measuring mode.
▪ Press measuring key (1) to begin corresponding measuring operation.
9.8 Right angled trapezoid area measurement (fig.8)
▪ Press main function key (7) to enter right angled trapezoid area measuring mode.
▪ Press measuring key (1) to begin corresponding measuring operation.
▪ Note: three edges need to be perpendicular to each other, to ensure correct measurement
results.
9.9 Area accumulation (fig.9)
▪ Press main function key (7) to enter area accumulation measuring mode.
