Transport packaging disposal
The packaging protects the appliance against damage
during transport. The packaging materials are usually
selected depending on their environment friendliness and
disposal manner and can therefore be recycled.
Returning the packaging into circulation saves raw
materials and reduces waste disposal costs.
Parts of the packaging (e.g. foils, Styropor®) can be
dangerous to children. Risk of suffocation!
Keep parts of the packaging out of reach of children and
dispose them as quickly as possible.
Operating staff requirements
The operator must carefully read the Operating
Instructions before using the appliance.
Qualification
No special qualification is necessary for using the
appliance apart from detailed instruction by an expert.
Minimum age
The appliance can only be operated by persons over 16
years of age. An exception includes youngsters operating
the appliance within their professional education to
achieve necessary skills under trainer's supervision.
Training
Using the appliance requires only appropriate instructions
by a professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No
special training necessary.
Care and maintenance descriptions
Servicing and Treatment
If the grinding wheel of the appliance is damaged or worn
to minimum dimensions, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its customer service centre or a similarly
qualified person to prevent any risk.
To prevent a risk of accident, unplug the appliance before
any cleaning. Do not disassemble the appliance and do
not make any attempts at repair by yourself. Please
contact our customer service centre if you have any
problems or questions.
Take care of your appliance at regular intervals to keep it
in a good condition. Check the condition of the sharpener
every time you are going to use it. Check the protective
equipment, switch and feeder cable. Check the appliance
for any loose screws, improper levelling, connection of
moving parts, inappropriate assembly, broken parts and all
other factors negatively affecting safe operation. Switch
the appliance immediately off if making any strange voice
or vibrating. If the appliance shows any signs of damage,
stop using it and have it repaired by a professional or
contact our customer service centre.
Wipe any dust and remains off the vent holes. Keep the
appliance dry, clean and with no oil and grease. To clean
the appliance, use fine soap and a wet cloth only as a lot
of cleaning agents such as petrol or abrasive substances
may damage the plastic parts and insulation. Never use
highly flammable solvents near the electric tool.
