Probleem U kunt geen verbinding maken met uw Service Provider.
Oorzaak (1) U hebt een onjuiste Service Provider-gebruikersnaam of
een onjuist Service Provider-wachtwoord ingevuld.
Oplossing Controleer uw gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord (zie ook
hoofdstuk 4).
Let op!
Een Service Provider-gebruikersnaam bestaat bij ADSL uit een naam
gevolgd door een @-teken met daarachter een Service Provider-specifieke
servicenaam. Bijvoorbeeld: user@adsl-comfort.
Wees ervan bewust dat u een juiste gebruikersnaam- en wachtwoordcom-
binatie gebruikt. Let ook op het gebruik van hoofdletters en kleine letters.
Oorzaak (2) Controleer of het controlelampje buitenlijn van de ADSL
modem brandt. Als dit lampje oranje knippert of is gedoofd,
is de modem niet goed aangesloten op de splitter, is de
splitter niet goed aangesloten op de buitenlijn of is er een
storing op de buitenlijn.
Oplossing Controleer de aansluitingen van de ADSL-splitter.
Oorzaak (3) De instellingen van de modem zijn niet correct.
Oplossing Stel de modem opnieuw in (zie hoofdstuk 2 voor gebruik in
combinatie met een Windows-computer en hoofdstuk 3 voor
gebruik in combinatie met een ander besturingssysteem).
Oorzaak (4) De netwerkinstellingen van uw computer zijn niet correct.
Oplossing Stel uw computer opnieuw in (zie paragraaf 5.2 voor
gebruik in combinatie met een Windows computer en
paragraaf 5.3 en 5.4 voor gebruik in combinatie met een
ander besturingssysteem).
Oorzaak (5) Uw Service Provider heeft mogelijk een tijdelijk (netwerk-)
probleem.
Oplossing Voor het onderkennen van dit probleem kunt u vanaf elk
willekeurige KPN ADSL aansluiting inloggen op de ADSL
Testsite (zie paragraaf 7.2).
