Internet maakt gebruik van het TCP/IP-protocol, een bepaalde manier
om computers met elkaar te verbinden. Om via de Mxstream Multi-PC
modem verbinding te kunnen maken met het internet, moet u uw
computer instellen op Verbind via Ethernet (via DHCP-server).
. U hebt de Mxstream Multi-PC modem aangesloten op de ether-
netkaart van uw computer (zie paragraaf .). Het groene controle-
lampje pc-aansluiting aan de achterkant van de modem brandt.
. Start uw computer.
. Klik op de taakbalk op

. Klik in het rolmenu op Regelpanelen.
. Klik in het volgende rolmenu op TCP/IP.
. U komt in het scherm TCP/IP (Mxstream Modem) (zie Afbeelding ).

. Neem de correcte instellingen over uit Afbeelding .
. Klik op .
➤ U wordt gevraagd of u de wijzigingen wilt bewaren.
. Klik op Ja.
Let op!
Als u meer dan twee computers op Mxstream wilt aansluiten, moet u
bij de overige computers een ander DHCP Client-ID invullen dan in de
bovenstaande afbeelding. U kunt bijvoorbeeld kiezen voor PC voor de
derde computer en PC voor de vierde computer, enz.

. Uw computer is nu correct geïnstalleerd.
. Klik op Finish.
➤ Uw computer is klaar voor gebruik. U kunt nu via uw browser naar
de startpagina van uw Service Provider.
Let op!
U moet ervoor zorgen dat uw browser NIET is gekoppeld aan uw oude
inbelverbinding. Uw browser moet namelijk zijn ingesteld op
Verbinding met het internet via local area network (Internet Explorer
.x) of Nooit een verbinding maken (Internet Explorer .x, Internet
Explorer .x). Hoe u dit automatisch instelt, leest u in paragraaf ..
Opmerking
U kunt bovenstaande stappen herhalen voor elke Windows-computer.

besturingssystemen (MAC OS)
Opmerking
Als voorbeeld wordt de installatie via MAC OS beschreven, maar deze
instructie geldt in principe voor elk besturingssysteem.
