Thermo carafe / brewing through lid

The double walled stainless steel thermo carafe accumulates heat energy. There-

fore, the carafe should preferably be ﬁlled to its max. capacity.

Tip: Before starting the brewing process, rinse your thermo jug with hot tap water.

To obtain tasteful coffee, brew at least half a jug otherwise the temperature will not

be held as efﬁciently.

The brewing through lid does not close hermetically. Therefore, always hold the

thermo jug upright when ﬁlled with coffee.

When serving coffee, turn the lid anticlockwise by its handle from “LOCK” position,

until the lid handle points towards the



symbol.

Note: After serving coffee, always close the lid of the jug in order to keep the coffee

hot inside the thermo carafe.

To fasten the lid, turn it clockwise by its handle until the lid handle points towards

the “LOCK” symbol.

To remove the lid from the thermo carafe, turn it anticlockwise by its handle until the

lid handle points to the



symbol. The lid can now be lifted off.

Cleaning and Care

Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the

mains. Let it completely cool down.

Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!

Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth. Do not use any aggres-

sive cleaning agents and/or other hard objects to clean the appliance.

The thermo carafe is not dishwasher safe, rinse it with some tap water and dry it

afterwards. All detachable parts can be cleaned in warm water using some dish-

washing detergent, rinse them afterwards and dry them thoroughly.
