Initializing the user data
This operation will erase all patterns and song data.
When you initialize the user data, all the patterns, songs,
and samples you created will be erased. If you want keep
the data you created, save your data on SmartMedia before
you initialize.
1. While holding down the SOLO key and WRITE/
RENAME key, turn on the power.
2. The display will indicate "ALL Init," and the PLAY/
PAUSE key will blink.
3. To execute the Initialize operation, press the blink-
ing PLAY/PAUSE key. To cancel without initializ-
ing, press the STOP/CANCEL key.
It will take about 30 seconds for initialization to be
completed.
When loading is completed, the ESX-1 will be re-
stored to its initial state, and after several seconds
the display will indicate pattern number "A.01" and
enter Pattern mode.
Never turn off the power while the ESX-1 is being
initialized.
