6. Veiligheidssluiting
De veiligheidssluiting voorkomt dat de rookmelder terug op de montageplaat wordt bevestigd zonder eerst
de batterij te plaatsen.
7. Batterijaansluiting
Verwijder de kunststof klep van de batterijhouder en sluit de batterij aan met de batterijaansluiting. Druk op
de testknop om te zien of de rookmelder na het plaatsen van de batterij goed werkt (zie De rookmelder
testen).
Wanneer de montageplaat is gemonteerd en de rookmelder na het plaatsen van de batterij getest is, plaatst
u de rookmelder op de montageplaat door deze rechtsom te draaien.
In het volgende hoofdstuk kunt u lezen welke plaatsen in uw woning de beste keuzes zijn om rookmelder(s)
te monteren.
Installatie-instructies:
Installeer een rookmelder in elke kamer of ruimte op elke etage van de woning
Rook kan de rookmelder niet bereiken als het slechts in één kamer of ruimte is geïnstalleerd. Als brand in
een andere kamer of ruimte ontstaat dan waar de rookmelder is geïnstalleerd, detecteert de rookmelder de
rook niet, of het wordt te laat gedetecteerd. Een rookmelder detecteert niet onmiddellijk een brand, behalve
als deze in dezelfde kamer of ruimte begint als waarin de rookmelder is geïnstalleerd.
Plaats ten minste één rookmelder in elke kamer/ruimte dat op uw route van de slaapkamer naar de
voordeur ligt.
Het is aanbevolen om een vluchtplan op te stellen en het met de gezinleden te oefenen in geval van een
noodsituatie.
De eisen voor de installatie van een rookmelder kunnen per regio verschillen. Neem contact op met de
lokale autoriteiten voor eventuele aanvullende eisen.
