2. CONEXIÓN DEL PUÑO AL MONITOR
Conecte el puño al monitor, ubicando la toma de tubo de goma en el soporte del puño del
monitor. Compruebe que la toma se ha introducido al completo para evitar que se produzcan
fugas de aire durante la medición de la presión sanguínea.
3. AGARRE DEL PUÑO EN SU BRAZO
A. Coloque el puño alrededor de un brazo desnudo a una
distancia de aproximadamente 1/2 a 3/4 pulgada sobre la
unión de la muñeca.
B. Cuando esté sentado, coloque la mano y el brazo con el
puño, palma hacia arriba, frente a Vd. en una superfi cie
plana como un escritorio o una mesa con el tubo de goma
en el centro de su brazo hacia su mano.
C. El puño no deberá estar ni demasiado apretado ni
demasiado suelto. Deberá poder colocar un dedo entre el
puño y su muñeca.
D. Realice siempre las medidas en el mismo brazo.
E. No mueva sus brazos, el cuerpo, ni el monitor durante las
medidas de la presión sanguínea.
F. Permanezca tranquilo, en silencio, y espere 5 minutos
antes y durante la medida de la presión sanguínea.
G. Si el puño se ensucia, sáquelo del monitor y límpielo
a mano con un detergente suave, y a continuación,
enjuáguelo con agua fría. Deje que el puño se seque antes
de volver a utilizarlo para realizar medidas de la presión
sanguínea. No seque nunca el puño en un secador de
ropa y no planche nunca el puño.
