Safety instructions
Œ Read this manual before first use thoroughly. It
contains important information for your safety
as well as for the use and maintenance of the
equipment.
Œ Keep this manual for future reference and pass it
on with the product.
Œ Pay particular attention to the warnings on the
product and in this manual.
Œ Use the product only for its intended purpose.
Improper use may lead to hazards.
Œ In the event of improper use or wrong operation,
we do not accept any liability for resulting
damages.
Œ The use of accessories and components not
expressly recommended by the manufacturer
may result in injuries or damages and voids the
warranty.
Œ Never leave the product unsupervised while it is
switched on.
Œ Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
Œ Never immerse electrical parts of the product in
water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the
product under running water.
Œ Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair
the product yourself. For servicing and repairs,
please consult an authorised service agent.
Œ The mains voltage must match the information on
the rating label of the product.
Œ The power plug is used as the disconnect device.
Please be sure that the power plug is in operable
condition.
Œ Only unplug from the power socket can separate
the product completely from the mains.
Œ Avoid damages to the power cord that may be
caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
Œ Keep this product including power cord and power
plug away from all heat sources like for example,
ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing
products/objects.
Œ Only unplug from the power socket by the plug
itself. Do not pull on the cord.

Œ If the power cord or the casing of the product is
damaged or if the product is dropped, the product
may not be used before it is examined by an

Œ Place the product on a flat, sturdy and slip-
resistant surface.
Œ Protect this product from extreme heat and cold as
well as from direct sunlight and dust.
Œ In order to reduce the risk of fire and electric shock,
do not expose the product to fire (fireplace, grill,
candles, cigarettes and so on) or water (water
drops, water splashes, vases, tubs, ponds and so
on).
Œ Warning! Do not use this product near water or
heavy moisture; e.g. in a damp basement or beside
a swimming pool or bathtub.
Œ This product is not suitable for commercial use. It is
designed for household use only.
Œ Operate this product under supervision only. Even
when leaving the room briefly, always pull the plug
and put the device in its stand base.
Œ When operating the product, high temperatures
develop on the housing and soleplate which could
lead to burns if you come into contact with them.
Possible hazards could also occur from escaping
steam or hot water. Do not point the steam toward
people.
Œ Use the handle only for handling.
Œ Do not iron or freshen up garments with steam
while they are being worn.
Œ The cord must not come into contact with hot
parts of the device and must not be wrapped
around the product.
Œ Do not put the product on hot surfaces (e.g. stove
hot plates and so on) or near open gas flames.
Œ Fill the water tank with water only.
