How to disconnect a gas bottle

1. Except for twin-cylinder installations with a changeover valve, turn off the gas

tap if tted to the smoker. Wait until the burner and pilot light have gone out. For

installations with a changeover valve, it is only necessary to switch off the empty

cylinder.

2. Replace the orange safety cap onto the empty cylinder.

Danger of scalding

The handle black area (see above picture for reference) will become

hot when the gas grill in use, be careful! Do not touch the black

area.

USE

Using wood chips or chunks

Dried aromatic wood chips or chunks need to be saturated with water, so that when

placed in the box, a smoldering smoke will result. Wood chips or chunks cannot be

soaked too long; however, 2 hours is adequate. As a rule of thumb, use wood chunks

for smoking 3 or more hours and wood chips when smoking less than 3 hours. Start with

3 wood chunks or ½ cups of wood chips.

Spray inside door and body with nonstick vegetable oil based spray. Place water pan

onto the brackets in the smoker chamber. Using a 4 quart (one gallon) container ll the

water pan 2/3 full with hot tap water. Do not overll the water pan
