START-UP AND OPERATION

• Clean the appliance thoroughly. Be very careful especially inside the appliance.

• After having installed the appliance wait 4-6 hours before you connect it to the

mains.

• Set the thermostat to position 5 before you plug in the mains plug.

• Afterwards operate the appliance after 24 hours for the rst time.

• When you desire higher or lower temperatures than position 4, choose the

corresponding position number.

• If the accessories inside the appliance are not tted in their correct position, replace

them according to the image on the left side.

• You can check the exact temperature of the cooling and the freezing section with a

fridge and a freezer thermometer8 (available at retailers).

• When you put a freezer thermometer into the freezing section, the temperature

should reach -18 °C or colder. You can freeze food reliably and safely at this

temperature.

• There is a fan inside the cooling section which enables an optimal diffusion of the

cooled air.

• Do not put any food directly in front of the fan; otherwise the cooled air will not be

diffused properly.

• Do not eat any frozen food such as bread, vegetables or fruit. Eating frozen food

can cause frostbite.

Note: Refer all servicing to qualied personnel. Servicing is required when the

apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is

damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the

unit has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been

dropped.
