2. Before using the hood
!
Ensure that the hood has not been da-
maged during transport.
Installation and connection of the electri-
cal supply must be carried out by profes-
sionals according to the manufacturers
instructions and in compliance with the
local requirements.
3. Using the hood
3.1 Operating safety
information
!
The grease lter must always be in
place when bringing the hood in
service, otherwise grease vapour can
become deposited inside the hood.
Do not use an open re under the coo-
ker hood (e.g. when ambéing).
High ames can damage the hood
or even cause a re (e.g. by igniting
grease deposits in the lter).
If you are using a gas stove, make sure
that the cookers are not operated
without cooking utensils.
With open gas ames, parts of the
appliance may be damaged by the
rising heat.
Extractor hoods remove unpleasant
odours and vapours and create a ple-
asant room atmosphere.
Particles of grease, steam and also mois-
ture are absorbed by the grease lter.
A correctly dimensioned extractor hood
creates a pleasant room climate without
producing draughts and ensures a bea-
rable air humidity of 40-60%.
1.4 Hints for use
!
Make sure that the room is suiciently
ventilated during operation of the
cooker hood.
To do this, follow the corresponding
instructions in the following chapter
on using the hood, especially for
exhaust air mode.
Constant maintenance guarantees
problem-free operation and optimal
hood performance.
Prior to carrying out cleaning or
maintenance work, the power supply
of the cooker hood is to be cut o by
unplugging or tripping out or remo-
ving the fuse.
Regularly clean appliance surfaces
from encrusted food.
Regularly clean or replace the lters.
