Using the appliance / Cleaning the appliance

Using the automatic descaling function

Regular removal of limescale deposits is important

for the maintenance of the appliance and is recommen-

ded after approx. 20 hours of operation each time.

For using the automatic descaling function to facilitate

this operation, proceed as follows:

• Remove the water tank as described in the relevant

section and ll it with a mixture of 1000 ml of fresh

water and the appropriate amount of a commercially

available descaler.

For best cleaning results, we recommend using a citrus

cleaner according to the manufacturer‘s instructions.

• Put the water container back into the appliance.

• In stand-by mode, touch the

key repeatedly until

the code CLE appears on the programme display.

• When the descaling function is selected, the operating

time of the function and the water tank level are shown

on the display.

Note: The parameter settings of the automatic descaling

function cannot be changed.

• Start the function with the key.

Note: If the descaling process is interrupted during

operation, it cannot be continued but must be restar-

ted.

• Wait 1 minute after nishing the programme.

Then remove the water container and clean it thoroughly.

• Fill fresh water into the container, put it back into the

appliance and start the function again without deter-

gent.

After nishing, remove the container and clean it again.

Cleaning the appliance

Disconnect the appliance from the

power supply before cleaning.

• Clean the cooking chamber with a damp cloth after use.

• Clean the accessories as usual with soapy water.

• The frame and seal of the appliance door and adjacent

parts must be carefully cleaned with a damp cloth if they

are dirty.

• Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or

sharp metal scrapers to clean the glass panel in the door.

These can damage their surface, which in turn can lead

to glass breakage.

Tip for cleaning

This makes it easier to remove food residue from the

inner walls:

• Place half a lemon in the glass pan and add 300 ml of

water.

• Heat the whole thing for 10 minutes at maximum micro-

wave power.

• Then wipe the cooking chamber with a soft, dry cloth.
