4.8 Using the rotary spit function
The constant rotating movement of the spit enables particu-
larly even browning of the food.
To use the rotating spit function, proceed as follows:
• Place the food (max. 1000g) on the spit (1) and insert the
two forks (2).
Make sure that the weight is well balanced and that the
food is not squashed.
• Position the rotary spit holder in the cooking chamber as
shown (3).
• Insert the rear end of the spit into the motor opening at
about mid-height, on the left of the cooking chamber rear
wall (4) and insert the forward end into the spit support (5).
• Unscrew the handle (6) and put it aside.
It is only for easier insertion or removal of the spit.
• Insert a tray or oven dish with some water into the cook-
ing chamber at the lowest level to catch fat and juices.
• Start a suitable cooking process with a heating type with
rotary spit ( , ) as described previously.
  Attention! Risk of damage!
Note that objects attached to the spit are con-
stantly rotated during operation and can be
damaged if they are connected to other cooking
chamber components, for example.
In particular, do not use the core temperature sen-
sor in combination with the rotary spit motor.
• To remove the spit after the cooking process, screw the
handle (6) back on. However, protect yourself additionally
for burns, e.g. with oven gloves.
