Diepvriesvoedsel
Doe het voedsel in speciale plastic diepvrieszakjes.
Deze zakjes mogen noch lucht, noch vocht binnenlaten. Ontdooid vlees mag niet
opnieuw diepgevroren worden.
IJs
De substantie van het ijs hangt af van de hoeveelheid room die het bevat.
Meestal heeft ijs van goede kwaliteit een hoog gehalte aan room, dus in de vriezer is
een zeer lage temperatuur nodig om de substantie van het ijs te behouden. IJs dat
weinig substantie heeft, wijst dus niet altijd op een temperatuurprobleem.
Wanneer na langdurige stroomuitval de stroom
weer terugkeert, geeft een geluidssignaal aan dat
de temperatuur van de koelkast de drempel voor
een correcte conserveringstemperatuur heeft
overschreden, terwijl de displays een minuut
lang de hoogste temperaturen weergeven die in
de compartimenten zijn gemeten: dit om de
gebruiker in staat te stellen om te beslissen hoe
hij het geconserveerde voedsel het beste kan
gebruiken.
Na een minuut hervatten de displays hun
normale werking, terwijl de toets Alarm
blijft knipperen; als de toets Alarm lichtjes
wordt aangeraakt, kunnen opnieuw de
geregistreerde hoogste temperaturen worden
bekeken.
