• When the coffee stops flowing, you will hear a beep, the light of the START button
becomes steady and the appliance enters into the keep-warm mode for 30 minutes
before switching off automatically.
• When you remove the jug from the appliance, a non-drip valve will automatically operate
to stop any drops of coffee dripping onto the hotplate. Replacement of the carafe
automatically opens the non-drip valve and allows remaining coffee to filter through into
the jug.
• Wait until the brewing process is finished and the filter has run empty before removing the
jug.
• Never put an (almost) empty jug back on the hotplate when the latter is still hot.
• When you have finished using the appliance, put the control knob in the OFF position.
• Always unplug the appliance after use and let it cool down before handling or storing it.
PREPARATION OF COFFEE WITH GROUND COFFEE
Proceed exactly as described above for the use with coffee beans with 2 exceptions:
1) Replace the coffee beans with ground coffee (the quantity depends on the amount
of water that you have put into the water tank).
2) Put the control knob in the POWDER position .
DECALCIFICATION AND CLEANING
• Before cleaning, turn off the appliance, unplug it and let it cool down.
• Remove the top lid by pressing the release button and then remove the filter cover (cf. 1,
2 & 3).
• Turn the grind and brew basket anticlockwise and lift it (cf. 4, 5 & 6).
• Remove the filter and remove the coffee grounds remaining in the filter and in the grind
and brew basket (cf. 7 & 8).
CAUTION: the blades of the coffee mill are very sharp. In order not to get hurt, use a soft brush
to clean the grind and brew basket
