Do not smoke during the below work. Do no work in

the vicinity of sparks, flames or open fire.

Regularly clean the ventilation slots.

Changing the oil (fig. A & C)

The oil must be changed after the first 20 operating hours,

and then after every 100 hours or 6 months.

■ Remove the cover (11).

■ Place a receiving bin under the bleeding point.

■ Remove the dipstick (6) from the filling-point.

■ Remove the screw (12) from the bleeding-point.

■ Tilt the machine slightly forwards to remove all oil.

■ Re-insert the screw (12) and tighten it securely.

■ Fill the crankcase with the prescribed amount of oil.

■ Replace the dipstick.

■ Replace the cover.

Checking the oil level (fig. A)

Check the oil level before starting the motor.

■ Remove the dipstick (6) from the filling-point.

■ Clean the dipstick.

■ Insert the dipstick into the filling hole for a few seconds before

pulling it out again.

■ Check the oil-level. The oil level should be at a rate between

full and empty.

■ If the level is below this mark, refill the oil.

Cleaning the air filter (fig. D)

The air filter should be cleaned after every 50 operating hours.

■ Remove the screws (13).

■ Lift the side (14) from the machine.

■ Remove the screws (15) and the bracket (16).

■ Remove the air filter (17) from the holder.

■ Clean the air filter with spirits or ethanol.

■ Pinch the air filter out. Do not twist!

■ Immerse the filter in clean motor oil.

■ Pinch the filter out and mount it into place.

■ Replace the side using the screws.

Cleaning the fuel filter (fig. E)

■ Remove the lid (4) from the filler opening.

■ Lift the fuel filter (18) from the filler opening.

■ Clean the filter with spirits or ethanol.

■ Dry the filter with a soft cloth.

■ Replace the filter in the filler opening.

■ Place the lid back on the filler opening.

Checking the spark plug (fig. F & G)

■ Remove the cover (19).

■ Remove the spark plug cable (20) from the spark plug.

■ Remove the spark plug (21) using the spark plug spanner.

■ Clean the electrode (22) using a steel brush.

■ Check the contact distance (correct value 0.7 - 0.8 mm) and

adjust as necessary.

■ Replace the spark plug.

■ Replace the cover.

TROUBLE-SHOOTING

If the machine is not working properly, take the following steps

to correct the problem. If you cannot correct it yourself,

contact your dealer.

Engine does not start

■ Check if the fuel tap is open.

■ Check if there is fuel in the tank.

■ Check that the on/off switch is in the “ON” position.

■ Pull harder on the start cord.

■ Check if the spark plug is properly placed.

■ Check if the spark plug cable is on the spark plug.

■ Clean the spark plug and check the contact distance.

Motor runs irregularly

■ Check if the spark plug is properly placed.

■ Check if the spark plug cable is on the spark plug.

■ Clean the spark plug and check the contact distance.

■ Check if the right fuel has been used.

Generator supplies no energy

If the indicator lamp (2) is not on, there is a defect that you cannot correct yourself.

Contact your dealer.

If the indicator lamp is on:

■ Press the reset button belonging to the output used.

■ Check the wiring.

■ Check if there has been a short circuit or an overload.

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

If the machine is out of use for a longer period of time, the fuel

tank must be emptied and the oil must be changed.

■ Empty the fuel tank.

■ Change the oil.

■ Cover the machine and place it in a clean an dry environment.
