HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES
Information for your health and safety:
• In order to prevent injuries caused by incorrect training methods or over exertion, training equipment may only be used in
accordance with the relevant instruction guidelines. .
• Prior to initial use and following an additional 6 days of training use all connections are to be checked and their secureness
determined.
• Take it upon yourself to examine the functionality and proper condition of the training equipment on a regular basis.
• The control of all technical safety aspects lies among the duties of the operating party and the operating party is obliged to
carry out these controls correctly and on a regular basis. .
• The safety standards of the individual pieces of equipment can only be upheld when they are regularly examined for signs of
damage and wear and tear.
• Defective or damaged equipment parts are to be replaced immediately. Work on electronic equipment parts is only to be car-
ried out by qualified persons. Use only KETTLER replacement parts
• Until such time as the corrective maintenance has been completed, the piece of training equipment in question may not be used.
• Prior to beginning with your training program you should allow yourself to be examined by your general practitioner in order to
clarify if you are in the necessary physical condition to train on this particular piece of equipment. The medical findings should
be the basis for the structuring of your training program. The incorrect type of training or over demanding training can lead to
injury or damage to health.
• The treadmill may only be used for its predefined purpose, e.g. for running and walking training by adults.
• Adhere to the maximum weight restrictions for users.
• Only ever train with inserted safety key.
• Allow yourself to become accustomed during the first training sessions to the motion sequences by initially operating at lower
speeds.
• By unsteadiness hold on tightly to the handrails and dismount the treadmill via the side platform and stop the treadmill.
Important: Adhere to the safety instructions as found in the assembly and set-up instructions.
SAFETY SWITCH
• Before beginning every training session attach the safety key to the safety switch and securely clip the cord which is attached to
the key to your clothing. Adjust the length of the cord accordingly: Should you have difficulties or flounder the safety switch will
trigger.
• The safety switch was developed in order to immediately shut off the treadmill motor and the incline regulator, in case you
should fall or find yourself in an emergency situation. It can be rather uncomfortable and also to a certain degree dangerous
when operating at high velocities if the treadmill should stop suddenly and immediately. For this reason you should only use the
safety switch in an emergency stop. In order to bring the treadmill during normal training conditions to a gradual, safe and
complete halt, please use the STOP button.
• Check the safety switch prior to beginning training. Stand on the side platform and start the treadmill at a minimal speed. Pull
the safety key from the safety switch. The treadmill should stop immediately. Following the test, reattach the safety key to the
safety switch and the cord to your clothing. On the stopping treadmill you should slowly move towards the back. The safety key
needs to detach itself from the safety switch. The cord should still be firmly attached to your clothing. Afterwards attach the
safety key to the safety switch once again.
• Treadmill safety: The uncontrolled use of the treadmill by third parties can be avoided by the removal and safe-keeping of the
safety key. Please keep the key in a safe and secure place and do not allow for the key to come into the procession of children!
