■ Always wear proper protective equipment, such as an approved helmet, glove, elbow pads,
wrister and kneepads. Long sleeve shirt, long pants and lace-up athletic shoes are recom-
mended. Don’t ride barefoot or in sandals. Keep shoelaces out of the way of wheels.
■ Only drive the scooter on flat, dry and even ground. Avoid driving on gravel, pebbles or cob-
bled pavements.
■ Never use the scooter at dusk or night or in wet or icy conditions.
■ Avoid water, speed jumps, sand, gravel and anything else that could cause your front wheel
to stop. Bumps have the potential to stop the front wheel. When in doubt, avoid the bumps.
