Functions and operation of the Marathon ST training computer

SPEED PROGRAMS P3, P4
Once the device has been switched on and the safety key has
been inserted securely you can press the (7) SELECT “<<” and
(8) “>>” buttons to select one of the default speed programs P3,
P4. The speed programs are characterised by different profiles
(different speed values over time). If setting the program indivi-
dually is possible the default value (or the value entered pre-
viously) flashes and shows that you either can confirm the flas-
hing value or change the value. As soon as you have entered
and confirmed your values the treadmill starts.
1. Switch on the device.
2. Secure the safety key at the treadmill and the clip at your clothes.
3. Press the (8) SELECT „>>“ button 3 x for P3 or 4 x for P4 =
SPEED INTERVALL.
4. Press the (5) ENTER button to confirm the selected program.
5. Use the (9) buttons (+), (-) to enter the training time.
6. Press the (5) ENTER button to confirm.
7. Use the (9) buttons (+), (-) to enter the level of intensity on the
basis of the maximum speed.
8. Press (5) the ENTER button to confirm your settings. Now, the
training session will be started.
TRAINING PROGRAMS P5, P6
It is possible to design the training session individually by set-
ting training targets for time and calories. Once the device has
been switched on and the safety key has been inserted securely
you can press the (7) SELECT “<<” and (8) “>>” buttons to
select one of the target programs P5, P6. P5 sets the training
target on the basis of the time and P6 sets the training target on
the basis of the calories. If setting a program individually is pos-
sible the default value (or the value entered previously) flashes
and shows that you either can confirm the flashing value or
change the value. As soon as you have entered and confirmed
your values the treadmill starts.
1. Switch on the device.
2. Secure the safety key at the treadmill and the clip at your clothes.
3. Press the (8) SELECT “>>” buttons 5 x for P5 = target time or
press the (8) SELECT “>>” button 6 x for P6 = target calories.
4. Press the (5) ENTER button to confirm the selected program.
5. Use the (9) buttons (+), (-) to enter the target time or calories.
6. Press (8) the ENTER (5) button to confirm your settings. Now,
the training session will be started.
HEART RATE CONTROL PROGRAM HRC
It is possible to set the program on the basis of its target heart
frequency rate. Once the device has been switched on and the
safety key has been inserted securely you can press the SELECT
(7) “<<” and (8) “>>” buttons to select the heart rate control
program HRC. Use “ENTER (5)“ to confirm the program, the
values to be set individually flash and show that you either can
confirm the flashing value or change the value. As soon as you
have entered and confirmed your values the treadmill starts.
The treadmill sets the values for incline and speed automatically
in order to reach and maintain the target heart rate of the user
after a time of approx. 5 minutes. The device tries to maintain
the target frequency with an accuracy of +/- 5 heart beats. The
automatic control allows for a maximum speed and maximum
incline of 10.8 km/h and 9%. During the training session you
will still have the opportunity to change the speed or the incline
manually.
In order to be able to use the heart rate control program you
have to wear a breast belt!
1. Switch on the device.
2. Secure the safety key at the treadmill and the clip at your clothes.
3. Press the (8) SELECT “>>“ button 7 x for the HRC program.
4. Press the (5) ENTER button to confirm.
5. Use the buttons (+), (-) to enter the training time.
6. Press the (5) ENTER button to confirm.
7. Use the (9) buttons (+), (-) to enter your age.
8. Press the (5) ENTER button to confirm.
9. Use the buttons (9) (+), (-) to change the proposed target
heart rate or press the (5) ENTER button to confirm. Now, the
training session starts.
