Quick Guide
Functional area
The four keys are briefly described below.
SET
The display changes from standby to active mode.
Programme selection is applied.
Programme setting are retrieved. The settings are applied.
Minus – / Plus +
Rotate towards “plus” or “minus” in order to change the settings
or values.
RECOVERY
Starts the recovery feature (only during heart rate detection).
Reset
Resets the display (only available during standstill).
PROGRAM / PULSEHOLD
during standstill: programme selection.
during training: PULSE HOLD feature activates and deactiva-
tes the pulse control. The current heart rate is saved as the tar-
get rate and the control adjusts the load in order to maintain the
heart rate.
Heart rate measurement
Heart rate measurement can be done with 3 sources:
1. Ear-clip (included)
The plug is plugged into the jack;
2. Chest strap without receiver
On this machine the receiver is positioned behind the display. If
an ear-clip is plugged in then it must be removed.
(Chest straps are not always included)
The POLAR chest strap T34 without plug-in receiver is available
as an accessory (product no. 67002000). Works only with
“uncoded systems”.
3. Hand pulse sensors
(Hand grip sensor is not always included)
