PROGRAMMING AN OFFSET
You must first select an amateur radio repeater
downlink frequency as described in “SELECTING AN OFFSET
F
REQUENCY”.
SELECTING AN OFFSET DIRECTION
Select whether the transmit frequency will be higher (+)
or lower (–) than the receive frequency.

[F]

[MENU]
and turn the
Tuning
control to
select Menu No. 5 (SFT).

Press
[MENU]
and turn the
Tuning
control to select “+”
or “–”.

Press
[MENU]
to store the setting or any other key to
cancel.

Press any key other than
[MENU]
to exit Menu Mode.
“+” or “–” appears above the frequency, indicating which
offset direction is selected.
If the offset transmit frequency falls outside the allowable
range, transmission is inhibited. In this case, adjust the
reception frequency so that the transmit frequency is
within the band limits or change the offset direction.
Note:
While using an odd-split memory channel or transmitting, you
cannot change the offset direction.
SELECTING AN OFFSET FREQUENCY
To access a repeater which requires an odd-split
frequency pair, change the offset frequency from the
default which is used by most repeaters. The default
offset frequency is 600 kHz.

select Menu No. 10 (OFFSET).

[MENU]
and turn the
Tuning
control to select
the appropriate offset frequency.
The selectable range is from 0.00 MHz to 69.95 MHz in
steps of 50 kHz.

[MENU]
to store the setting or any other key to
cancel.

Press any key other than
[MENU]
to exit Menu Mode.
Note:
After changing the offset frequency, the new offset frequency
will also be used by Automatic Repeater Offset.
