Basic Frame
Display Area Description
Function Indicator
Area
Displays the various function indicators, signal strength
indicator and clock.
Main Area
Displays the information of the transceiver such as Channel
number and Zone number.
Key Guide Area
Displays the key functions for [ ], [ ], [H] and [I] keys.
Function Indicator
Indicator Description
Displays the signal strength.
The channel is using high transmit power.
The channel is using medium transmit power.
The channel is using low transmit power.
In Digital mode
In Analog mode
The Bluetooth function is activated.
Connected to a Bluetooth device.
The GPS position is determined. Blinks when the GPS is unable
to determine the position.
Non-priority Scan (green) or Priority Scan (red) is in progress.
Blinks when the scan is paused.
Indicates Priority channel (1).
There are four priority channels (1 to 4) and each channel has its
own indicator.
The current channel is added to the scanning sequence.
The Scrambler function is activated.
The Encryption function is activated.
The Encryption (AES) function is activated.
The Encryption (DES) function is activated.
The Talk Around function is activated.

  • My KCH-20R stopped playing audio from the selected channel but I can hear the secondary channel from the secondary speakers. I checked the primary speaker and it is not blown. Any suggestions?
