7 - INSTALLATION AND START UP
Two tubes arranged together

7.8.3 Insulating the refrigerant tubing (fig. 9)
Thermal insulation should be applied to all pipes in the unit, including connection points.
For the gas line use insulating agents resistant to at least 120°C or higher temperatures; for all other pipes, a resistance
of up to 80°C is sufficient.
The thickness of the insulation must be at least 10mm or higher. Increase the thickness if the thermoigrometric
conditions inside the pipe passage cavity exceed 30°C b.s. - 70% u.r. Also isolate flare connections by creating an
insulating sleeve of thickness equivalent to that of the pipeline, fixing it with a special tape.

7.8.2 Welding joint cautions
Replace air inside the tube with nitrogen gas to prevent copper oxide film from forming during the brazing process.
(Oxygen, carbon dioxide and Freon are not acceptable.)
Use a reducing valve for the nitrogen cylinder.
Do not allow the tubing to get too hot during brazing. The nitrogen gas inside the tubing may overheat, causing
refrigerant system valves to become damaged. Therefore allow the tubing to cool when brazing.
Do not use agents intended to prevent the formation of oxide film. These agents adversely affect the refrigerant and
refrigerant oil, and may cause damage or malfunctions.
Repeat the previous procedures for the second connection.
