15.4 Position determination
If you enter your position (location) manually then the search for a satellite is much shorter. This applies
in particular after a change of location. You can either enter your position as GPS data or else select the
country and a (larger) town in the vicinity from a list.
Entering the position as GPS data
✔ You know the GPS data of your location (latitude and longitude).
1. Press the
(green) button and select with the

buttons "Position determination".
2. Select with

"via GPS" (see Fig. A, p. 54).
3. Select with
"My Latitude" and
– set the latitude (the closest value) with

or
– enter the latitude with the numeric keys to one place of decimals, e.g. 192 for 19.2°.
4. Select with
"My Longitude" and
– set the longitude (the closest value) with

or
– enter the longitude with the numeric keys to one place of decimals, e.g. 98 for 9.8° or 118 for 11.8°.
Press
as required to change the latitude from "West" to "East or vice versa.
5. End the input with the
or
(green) buttons.
6. Select a channel. The antenna is oriented according to the GPS data that was entered.
Selecting the position from a list
✔ You know a number of larger towns in the vicinity of your location (and the country).
1. Press the
(green) button and select with the

buttons "Position determination".
2. Select with

"List selection" (see Fig. B, p. 54).
3. Select with
