Description of the device

The device can be operated with a Kärcher 36 V Bat-
tery Power battery pack.

Installing the string guard

Install the string guard before using the device for the
first time.

Never use the device without the string guard.

The string guard must face the operator.
1. Insert the string guard into the bracket.
2. Screw the string guard to the bracket.
Mounting the string reel
When assembling the components, make sure that the
side recesses match.
1. Assemble the sprocket.

2. Mount the string guard cover.
3. Insert a tool (e.g. screwdriver) through the recesses
on the side to prevent the support from rotating.

1. Connect the upper and lower shaft segments.

1. Screw the front handle to the upper shaft section at
the desired height.

1. Push the battery pack into the mounting in the de-
vice until it audibly latches into place.

Inserting the carrying belt
1. Place the belt over one shoulder.

2. Push the hook of the carrying belt into the eyelet on
the shaft.
Working techniques
CAUTION
Obstacles in the mowing area
Risk of injury and damage
Before starting mowing, check the work area for objects
that may be flung away, e.g. wires, stones, cords or
glass.
1. Fold back the trigger lockout button to the rear.

2. Press the trigger.
The device starts up.
3. Use the speed switch to select the desired speed.

4. Guide the cutting head parallel to the ground.
5. Guide the device in a semi-circular movement over
the cutting area.
Danger due to flung objects. Keep a safe dis-
tance away.
Do not subject the device to rain or moist
conditions.
Do not use saw blades or metal blades.
The guaranteed sound level specified on the
label is 94 dB.
