4. Power Supply
Main Unit
• Connect the power cable to a suitable wall socket.
• Make sure that the output power of the wall outlet matches the required power of the unit as
indicated on the rating label on the bottom side of the unit.
Note:
• If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, disconnect it from the power.
Remote Control Batteries
1. Open the battery cover.
2. Insert two 1.5V “AAA” batteries (not included) in the remote control.
Make sure to match the (+) and (-) ends of the battery with the (+)
and (-) ends indicated in the battery compartment.
3. Close the cover.
Notes:
• Pay attention to the safety information on page 24.
• The remote control works within a distance of approximately 4 metres from the sensor and within
an angle of about 30° from the left and right side.
• If the remote control is not used for a longer period of time, batteries should be removed.
• If the remote control’s working range becomes less the batteries might be weak and should be
replaced.
5. First Installation
When you rst connect the unit to the mains socket, the initial setup wizard starts (if the unit is in
standby mode, press the / VOLUME knob on the unit or on remote control to switch it on). You
can run through this to congure settings for date/time and network. Once this has nished, your radio
is ready to use.
Note:
• If you wish to skip the setup wizard you can do so in the menu (setup wizard can be launched at
any time in the Systems Setting menu).
When you choose to continue with the setup wizard, follow the instructions on the display:
Date/Time: Select between 12 and 24 hour format.
Auto update: Select from which source time/date should be synchronized. If you choose “No update”
you need to set time/date manually.
Set timezone: Select your timezone (UTC +01:00 for Germany).
Daylight Savings: Select “ON” for countries with daylight savings time.
Keep network connected? Select “YES” to keep network connected when the unit is in standby mode
and when not in network radio mode. This is necessary for remote operation and audio streaming in
music player mode.
The unit will now search for available networks. Select yours and press ENTER to continue.
