Caution: Some smoke or odour might escape during the first use of your appliance. This does
not represent any danger and will disappear very quickly.
OPERATION
Before the first use, we advise you to clean the grill plates with a damp cloth and to dry
them carefully.
Open the grill to make sure there is nothing on the grilling surface. Close the grill and insert
the plug into the power socket. The red power light will come on, indicating that the
appliance is heating.
The green pilot light will come on as well when the right cooking temperature is
reached. During use, this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that
the thermostat is regulating the appliance's temperature.
Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
Put the grease collector under the grease draining slot of the grill plate, in order to collect
the grease that might come out of the grill during use. To do so, slide the grease collector
all the way to the stop into the foreseen slots in the front part of the appliance, and make
sure that the lip with the arrow ▲ is in front.
Open the appliance and lightly brush the 4 hamburger notches with butter, margarine or
cooking oil.
Use the measuring spoon to put the minced meat evenly into the 4 notches of the bottom
baking plate but not all the way to the edges and close the appliance. Press the lid down
for a moment to spread the minced meat evenly on the baking plate.
Bake until done (about 4 to 5 minutes). When the hamburgers are ready, remove them
with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use any sharp or metallic objects, as this might
damage the non-stick coating of the baking plates.
When you have finished baking, unplug the appliance and leave it open so that the
baking plates can cool down.
CLEANING
Pull the plug from the power socket and let the appliance cool down before cleaning it.
Clean the grill plates with a damp cloth, sponge or paper towel.
Do not use hard or sharp utensils. If the grill plates are very dirty, use mild washing-up
product. Rinse with hot water and dry the plates carefully. The cleaning succeeds best
when the grill plates are still slightly hot.
To clean the housing, use a slightly damp cloth, if necessary with some mild washing-up
product.
Make sure no water or other liquid penetrates into the appliance.
Never clean the appliance under running water. Never immerse the appliance in water or
any other liquid.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and
