UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)
This product must only be used from a 13-amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13-amp
plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13-amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour
coded:
blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.
The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (&
yellow).
CONNECTION TO THE MAINS SUPPLY
The radiator should only be connected to an earthed socket installed in accordance with the
regulations.
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label
(230V (AC)) and the rated electric current is not lower than 10A.
This product complies with all binding CE- labelling directives.
START UP
Before using the radiator for the first time, make sure the wheels are fitted correctly to the base
of the appliance (see page 2, a and b). Never use the appliance if the wheels are not fitted
correctly.
When the appliance is switched on for the first time, a slight smell may be emitted. Please
ensure sufficient ventilation.
USE
Turn the thermostat clockwise to high position and switch the unit by pressing the power
switches I for low heat, the switch II for high heat.
When your room reaches the desired temperature, slowly turn the thermostat counter-
clockwise until the pilot light goes out. The thermostat can now be left at this setting. As
soon as the room temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the unit will switch
itself on automatically until the set temperature has been reached again. In this way, the
room temperature remains constant. The pilot light indicates whether or not the appliance
is heating.
If you want to change the room temperature setting, turn the thermostat clockwise to
raise temperature, or counter-clockwise to lower it.
To switch off the appliance, put the power buttons in OFF position and unplug the
appliance.
OVERHEAT PROTECTION
This heater is protected with an overheat protection that switches off the appliance
automatically in case of overheat. In this case, unplug the appliance, wait about 10 minutes
for it to cool. Then switch it back on as described above. The appliance should operate
normally. Should the problem persist, please contact the nearest customer service.
