IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Should you hand over the appliance to another user, make sure to hand over the
instruction manual with the appliance.
Use the appliance only in the way indicated in this instruction manual.
Check that your mains voltage matches to that stated on the appliance.
Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket-outlet with proper contact. This
applies also to the outdoor usage of the appliance. The installation of a residual-current-
operated protective appliance with a rated tripping current of max. 30mA will offer
additional protection and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to
their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must
never use the appliance without supervision or instructions of a responsible person.
Close supervision is necessary if children are near the appliance in order to avoid that they
use it as a toy.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if the cord or
appliance shows any signs of damage. Should the cord be damaged, it must be
replaced by a competent qualified electrician

Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these
instructions. Put the appliance on a stable, even surface in a way that it will not tilt over.
Only use accessories which had been recommended by the supplier. Any other
accessories will represent a risk for the user and might damage the appliance.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever.
Do not use the appliance nearby hot surfaces (hot plates, etc.)
Make sure that the appliance is neither being used nearby easily inflammable materials
(curtains, tablecloths, journals, etc.) nor gets in touch with such materials.
Risk of fire! The appliance should be at a distance of at least 1 meter from easily
inflammable materials.
Never pull the cable in order to move the appliance. Make sure that the connecting
cable does not get caught which might lead to dropping the appliance. Do not wind the
connecting cable around the appliance and do not bend it.
Do not use the appliance without having placed the collecting pan in the barbecue and
having it filled with water (refer to the paragraph "COMMISSIONING"). This water is
indispensable in order to prevent the formation of smoke during the commissioning.
Always disconnect the appliance when you fill water into the collecting pan.
Unplug the appliance when not in use.
Important! The grill rack, housing and heating element become very hot during use.
Position the appliance so that any accidental contact is impossible. After switching off the
appliance, it will cool down gradually.
Allow the grill to cool down before carrying and storing it. Caution! Very hot! Can cause
burns!
Important! The electric grill must never be operated with charcoal or similar fuels.
Under no circumstances must plastic articles or other objects be placed on the shelf
except for the food to be grilled.
Beware of spitting grease when grilling fatty meat. Risk Caution! Very hot! Can cause
burns!
To prevent damage to the appliance, never fully cover the grill rack, tray or grill
attachments with foil, as this will prevent the heat escaping. Risk of overheating!
