Hi I am having issues on step 7 of the manual (the ply woo : 3909

I am having issues on step 7 of the manual (the ply wood on the back) and fitting the screws 'K8' on the manual. I am unsure how to screw the 2 in on the left hand side of the picture. I am unsure which way they go on as they do not seem to screw in to the wood above anyway i try them. Any help would be great thank you
