Az időmérés legmodernebb módja.

5000 év telt el az időmérés kezdete óta. Ez kezdetben napórával, vízó-

rával, a 13. században mechanikus órákkal, majd kvarcórákkal, nap-

jainkban pl. a Junghans rádiós karórával történik. Ez olyan óra, amely jó

vételi viszonyok között soha nem jár rosszul, és sohasem kell beállítani.

A Junghans rádiós óra tökéletesen pontos, mert rádiótechnológiával

kapcsolódik a világ legpontosabb óráinak időnormáihoz. Európában ez

schweigben. Japán esetében ez a Nemzeti Informatikai és Kommu -

Amerikában az Egyesült Államok Kereskedelmi Minis zté rium ának

cézium időalapja a Nemzeti Szabványügyi és Technológiai Intézetben

(NIST), a coloradói Boulderben található. Ezektől az óráktól olyan pon-

tosságot várunk el, hogy 1 millió év alatt mindössze 1 másodpercnyi

eltérése lehet.
