ENGLISH OPERATION MANUAL
JB SYSTEMS 4/5 BATTLE4-usb
16. [BOOTH] LEVEL: Used to adjust the level of the [Booth] output. This is mainly used to control your
personal stage monitors
17. [BALANCE] knob: you can use this knob to modify the balance of the [MASTER] output.
18. [MASTER] LEVEL: Used to adjust the level of the Master output.
19. [CUE VOLUME]: Used to control the output level of the headphone output.
20. [CUE MIX] knob: With this knob you can mix the master output and any of the input channels through
the headphone output:
Put the knob in the extreme left position [CUE] to listen to the channel that you have selected with the
[CUE SELECT] switch (21)
Put the knob in the extreme right position to hear the master output [MS].
Put the knob in any other position to hear a mix of the two signals.
This option makes it possible to check your mix before you open the channel fader of your new song and
send it to the master output.
21. [CUE SELECT] switch: use this switch to select the [CUE] input channel you want to listen to via the
headphones.
22. CHANNEL FADERS: Used to set the level of each channel separately.
23. X-Y CROSSFADER: With this fader you can mix over between the channels X & Y. Use the routing
selectors (7) to select the source for your X and Y channels. The crossfader only works when these X
and Y channels are selected and when their individual channel faders are open!
24. MICROPHONE INPUT: This is an extra microphone input that can be selected via the source selector
(9) of Channel 1
25. HEADPHONE JACK: You can monitor all inputs/outputs when you connect any modern stereo
headphone to this 6.3mm jack.
26. POWER SWITCH: Used to turn the power of the mixer on and off. The blue led is lit when the mixer is
turned on.
27. GROUND (GND) CONNECTION: Many Turntables have a GND-connection. It is preferable to connect
this signal ground to the GND-connector. If your turntable does not have a ground wire, you don’t have
to use this connector.
28. MAINS INPUT with IEC socket and integrated fuse holder, connect the supplied mains cable here
29. [MASTER] OUTPUT: Use this output to go to your main sound system (amplifier or active speakers).
30. [BOOTH] OUTPUT: Use this output if you want to control a separate set of speakers (monitors)
31. [RECORD] OUTPUT: Carries the same signal as the master output but is not influenced by the master
level. Used to connect analog recording equipment. You can also connect a computer for direct digital
recording, see USB connections (20).
32. [CD/LN] INPUT CHANNELS: used to connect a line level audio signal.
33. [PHONO] INPUT CHANNELS: used to connect a turntable.
34. USB CONNECTIONS: two bidirectional USB connections (USB1 for CH2 ~ USB2 for CH3). You can
connect any PC through these USB connections. The PC/Mac will detect your mixer as a sound card,
normally no drivers are needed. Since both USB ports are bidirectional you are able to play music on
your computer and mix this music with other sources like CD, phono, etc. At the same time you can
record your mix on your computer with the same USB connection!
35. PHONO/USB SWITCH: This switches make it possible to select the Phono input or the USB input for
channel 2 and/or for channel 3.
