Borde doblado
Posicione la tela de forma que el doblez se sitúe contra el lado
izquierdo de la aguja. Baje el prensatelas.
Cosa guiando el borde doblado contra la guía del prensatelas.
Para que el dobladillo tenga aspecto profesional, doble la
tela reduciendo el ancho a un 0.2 cm (1/8").
Al coser, la puntada de la derecha será dada fuera del borde
de la tela formando una puntada de cadeneta.

En telas gruesas que se enredan, primeramente deberá
rematarse el borde bruto.
Por último dóblelas de la forma indicada en la ilustración.

Sur les tissus épais qui ont tendance à s’effilocher, le bord brut
devrait être surfiIé d’abord.
Puis pliez l’ourlet comme illustré.

Le bord plié
Placez le tissu sur la machine, de façon à ce que I’aiguille
ne perce que la partie pliée du tissu lorsque I’aiguille arrive
en position extrême gauche.
Abaissez le pied presseur.
Piquez en dirigeant le bord plié le long du guide.
Pour obtenir un ourlet à I’allure professionnelle,réduisez la
largeur du tissu plié à 0.2 cm (1/8").
À la couture, le point du côté droit débordera du tissu, formant
une chaînette.
