Thank you for choosing a chronograph by JAGUAR, one of the most
renowned Swiss watchmakers in the world. This timepiece has been
carefully created using quality materials and components and is protected
against shocks, temperature changes, water and dust.
This user manual is valid for standard and Racing model JAGUAR quartz
chronographs with G10 movement. To adjust and use your chronograph,
please follow the instructions for your model.
Your chronograph will allow you to time events lasting up to 30 minutes
and provides the following functions:
Models with a Screw-down Crown
To improve guaranteed water-tightness, some models come equipped
with a screw-down crown. Before adjusting the time or date, you must
unscrew the crown to position IB in order to pull it out to position II
or III.
Please note: After any adjustments, you must screw the crown back
into place in order to keep your watch water tight.
Adjusting the Time
Pull the crown out to position III and turn forwards or backwards to
set to the desired time.
Synchronise the small second hand located at 6 o’clock with an official
time signal (radio/TV/Internet); the hand will stop when you pull out
the crown to the second notch. As soon as you have synchronised the
time, push the crown back to position I (and check whether yours is a
screw-down model).
Winding
Quartz watches do not need to be wound up.
Quickly Adjust the Date
Pull the crown out to position II and turn it backwards until the correct
date is shown.
Tachymeter (depending on the model)
The tachymeter allows you to measure the speed of an object travelling
at constant speed. Start the chronograph and stop it at 1 km. The
chronograph needle will then point to a figure on the tachymeter scale,
indicating the speed in km/h.
To ensure your chronograph works perfectly for many years to come,
carefully follow the recommendations in this User Manual.
