• In the event of faults, defects or a suspected

defect, immediately take the plug out of

the socket-outlet. Never put the defective

appliance into operation. ONLY AUTHORISED

SERVICE CENTRES CAN MAKE REPAIRS. The

manufacturer declines all responsibility for

any damage caused by repair jobs performed

incorrectly.

• Do not twist the power cord or wind it

around the appliance while still hot.

• Donotinsertyourhandsormetallic

componentsintotheslot.

• In the event that you decide to dispose of

the appliance, we advise you to make it

inoperative by cutting off the power cord.

We also recommend that any parts that

could be dangerous be rendered harmless,

especially for children, who may play with

the appliance or its parts.

• Packaging must never be left within the reach

of children since it is potentially dangerous.

• The appliance is not intended to be operated

by means of an external timer or a separate

remote system.

• This appliance can be used by children

aged from 8 years and above and persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given

supervision or instruction concerning use of

the appliance in a safe way and understand

the hazards involved. Children shall not

play with the appliance. Cleaning and user

maintenance shall not be made by children

unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach

of children under 8 years of age.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer, its service

agent or a similarly qualified person, in order

to avoid a hazard.

the appliance near or below combustible

materials, such as curtains.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE

• Wipetheexternalsurfaceswithadampclothandlettheappliancedry.

• Turnontheappliance,andallowittocompleteanentiretoastingcyclewithout

any bread in the slot, in order to remove any oil residue from the manufacture.

Notice: The first few times you are using the appliance, you may experience a

small amount of smoke or odour. This is due to the excess material from the

manufacturing process being burnt off. It is completely normal, and the smoke/

smell will soon disappear.
