ADAPTER
g. 11 The seat is equipped with adapter cushion (D) for newborn babies.
USE OF THE HOOD
g. 12 The child car seat is equipped with an adjustable hood (E).
To attach it, insert the ends (E1) in the dedicated slots (E2) and then insert the various
attachments (E3) around the structure.
g. 13 To adjust it, simply accompany it to the wished position.
g. 14 To remove the hood (E), extract it rmly from the structure.
CAUTION: the hood shall not be used to lift the child car seat: hazard of
detachment.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to remove the lining periodically to provide for its correct
maintenance.
g. 15 Bring the handle (A) to the most rear position.
g. 16 Remove the lining from the headrest (F).
Extract the protections from the belts.
g. 17 Remove the lining from the structure, freeing the attachments (L1) from
their housings.
g. 18 Extract the belts from the suitable eyelets and, then, remove the entire
lining.
INSTALLING THE SEAT IN THE CAR
Verify that on the vehicle seat there are not any items that may hinder the correct
leaning of the Darwin Infant i-Size child car seat.
Verify that the backrest is in vertical position and the vehicle seat where the child car
seat has to be installed is NOT EQUIPPED WITH FRONT AIRBAG.
Install the Darwin Infant i-Size car seat only FACING IN THE DIRECTION OPPOSITE TO
THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL.
g. 19 Pass the lower segment (S1) of the car safety belt through the lateral seats
(G1).
g. 20 Hook the car safety belt properly.
g. 21 Rotate the handle (A) to the most forward position. Make sure that the two
buttons (B) completely come out, after having arranged the handle to the proper
position.
g. 22 Pass the diagonal segment (S2) of the car safety belt through the rear
guides (G).
CAUTION: make sure that the belts are well stretched and not twisted. Only in
this way it is possible to obtain the perfect anchoring of the Darwin Infant i-Size
car seat.
When the child car seat is used without the base, it is advisable to check that the
hatched red line on the symbol (P1) on the side of the child car seat is more or less
parallel to the ground.
INSTALLING THE CAR SEAT WITH THE DARWIN i-SIZE BASE
Install the Darwin i-Size Base on board of the car referring to the dedicated manual.
g. 23 Install the Darwin Infant i-Size car seat by inserting the 2 tubes (L) in the
housings (M) in the base until the CLICK indicating attachment is heard on both sides.
g. 24 The Darwin Infant i-Size car seat is attached when the dedicated indicators
(N) change from red to green.
