CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Built-in components
Regularly clean the ventilation grilles with a vacuum cleaner
or a brush (see figure A).
Clean the outside with a soft cloth.
Free-standing components
Regularly clean the condenser placed in the rear of the
appliance with a vacuum cleaner or a brush (see figure B).
Long absences
1. Empty the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
2. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
3. Defrost the freezer compartment and dry both
compartments.
4. Leave the doors open to prevent bad odours forming.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. The appliance is not working.
Is there a power failure?
Is the plug properly inserted in the socket?
Is the bipolar mains switch inserted?
Are the household electrical system protection
devices working properly?
Is the power cable broken?
Is the thermostat on the (Stop) position?
2. The temperature inside the compartments
is not cold enough.
Is the door properly closed?
Is the appliance placed near a heat source?
Is the thermostat set on the correct position?
Is anything blocking air circulation in the
ventilation grilles?
3. The temperature of the refrigerator
compartment is too cold.
Is the thermostat set on the correct position?
4. There is water at the bottom of the
refrigerator compartment.
Is the defrost water drain blocked?
5. The interior light does not work.
First check point 1, then:
Disconnect the appliance from the power
supply.
To learn how to reach the light bulb, see
instructions and drawing in the table included.
Replace the light bulb, ensuring that the
replacement is within the same power range or
maximum wattage, as specified near the light
holder.
6. Excessive frost formation in the freezer
compartment
Is the door properly closed?
Is food preventing the door from closing
properly?
Notes:
The front edge of the refrigerator is warm:
this is not a defect, it is meant to prevent
condensation forming.
Gurgling sounds and expansion noises come
from the refrigerating system and are
normal.
