INTRODUCTION
This body scale is intended for weighing persons up to max. 180 kg. Apart from regular weighing, information
about fat and water percentage, bones and muscles will be shown basing on the BIA method.
Prior to using the scale read this instruction manual carefully and get familiar with different functions of the
device.
Measurements of body fat and water percentage are to be understood as reference
only. They are not suitable for medical diagnosis. Should you want to lose weight by
taking medicine or diets, consult your doctor.
It is important to note that there might be technical measurment aberrations,
since the scale has not been designed for professional medical use.
SAFETY ADVICE
1. Read this instruction manual carefully before using the product.
2. If you pass on the device to a third party, please include this instruction manual as well.
3. This device complies with technical norms and safety requirements for electric devices.
4. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by improper use or non-observance of this
instruction manual.
5. Keep children away from the device.
6. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
7. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
8. NEVER IMMERSE THE DEVICE IN WATER!
9. The device must not be used in the vicinity of a bathtub or shower, or a washbasin filled with water.
10. Always place the device on a horizontal and level surface.
11. Do not use the device if it is damaged. In order to avoid hazards, defective parts should only be
replaced by the manufacturer, its Customer Service, or a similarly qualified person.
12. Do not open the device. Do not try to repair the device on your own. Repairs should be conducted by
qualified specialists only.
13. Do not use the device in the immediate proximity of sources of heat like fire, cooking plates, etc.
14. Do not use the device if it is visibly damaged or if the device has been dropped, or otherwise damaged.
In such cases have the device checked and possibly repaired at a service point.
15. Do not use accessories not supplied in the packaging or not recommended by the manufacturer.
16. Always place the device on a stable, level and non-slip surface. Otherwise there is a danger of injuries
to the user and damages to the device.
17. Do not use the device outdoors.
18. Use the device to weigh persons only.
19. Patients with a pace maker or other electronic implants should not use the scale.
Proper functioning of such implants could be limited or disturbed.
20. It is not recommended to use the scale during pregnancy. Amniotic fluid could lead to
imprecise results.
21. To avoid interferences, the scale should not be used in the vicinity of devices with strong
electromagnetic radiation. Keep sufficient distance or switch such devices off when using the scale.
22. CAUTION DANGER OF SLIPPING! The surface of the scale can be slippery when wet. Prior to each
weighing dry the surface and your feet. Do not stand with wet feet on the scale.
23. Should you encounter problems with the device, try to remove the batteries.
