You can also use the Line Voltage Detector to verify that
the MC2+ is connected to the correct line.
-1- Make a POTS call to the telephone number of the
line.
-2- The LED flickers as the ringing current is detected.
Ringer When MC2+ receives a call the ringer sounds and the
Line Voltage Detector LED flashes blue to indicate that
MC2+ is connected to the correct subscriber line.
ASDL
Status
LED
When this LED flashes it indicates that MC2+ has
established a connection and is training with the DSLAM.
When Showtime is achieved, between MC2+ and the
DSLAM, the LED remains steady.
If you have the ADSL Bi-colour LED option:
Steady green indicates that the test has passed.
Steady red indicates that the test has failed.

Setting up the Bi-Colour LEDs on page EN-20.
PPP/IP
Indicator
LED
When this LED is steady green it indicates that a PPP
connection has been established and an IP address has
been assigned successfully to MC2+ from the network.
If you have the PPP/IP Bi-colour LED option:
If the LED is off it indicates that no PPP connection
has been established.
Steady green indicates that a PPP connection has
been established but no ping responses have been
received.
Flashing alternate green and red - indicates that a PPP
connection has been established and ping responses
have been received.
For information on setting up the PPP/IP options see
Setting up the Bi-Colour LEDs on page EN-20.
Note
The ADSL and PPP/IP LEDs may flash dimly when MC2+
is restarting.
Reset
Button
This is only to be used if MC2+ has malfunctioned. See
Resetting your MC2+ on page EN-48.
