Losdraaien van de
radiateurdop
•Verwijder de radiateurdop
nooit terwijl de motor draait of
nog een hoge temperatuur
heeft. Daardoor kan er schade
aan het koelsysteem en de
motor ontstaan; bovendien
kunt u ernstig letsel oplopen
doordat er hete koelvloeistof
of stoom ontsnapt.

WAARSCHUWING (Vervolg)
•Zet de motor uit en wacht tot
deze is afgekoeld. Verwijder
de radiateurdop uiterst
voorzichtig. Wikkel een dikke
doek rond de dop en draai
hem voorzichtig linksom tot
de eerste aanslag. Ga een
stukje achteruit wanneer de
druk van het koelsysteem af
gaat.
Pas als u zeker weet dat er
geen overdruk meer is, drukt
u de dop met de doek in en
draait u hem verder linksom
om hem te verwijderen.
•Verwijder de radiateurdop of
de aftapplug niet als de motor
en de radiateur nog heet zijn,
zelfs niet als de motor niet
loopt. Er kan nog steeds
hete koelvloeistof en stoom
ontsnappen, waardoor er
ernstig letsel kan ontstaan.
De elektromotor
(koelventilator) wordt
aangestuurd op basis
van de koelvloeistof-
temperatuur, de koudemiddel-
druk en de rijsnelheid. De
ventilator kan soms gaan
draaien ook al is de motor uit.
Wees extra voorzichtig bij
werkzaamheden in de buurt van
de koelventilator zodat u niet
geraakt wordt door de
ronddraaiende ventilatorbladen.
Als de koelvloeistoftemperatuur
daalt, wordt de elektromotor
automatisch uitgeschakeld. Dit
is een normaal verschijnsel.
De elektromotor (koelventilator)
kan mogelijk gaan werken,
behalve als u de minpool van de
accu losneemt.
