Before performing maintenance to the
appliance, always unplug the
appliance.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR LAWNMOWERS
• Lawnmowers must not be used by children or
untrained persons.
• Wear stout shoes or boots to protect your feet.
Do not operate the appliance when walking
barefoot or wearing open sandals.
• Wear long trousers to protect your legs.
• Before using the appliance, remove sticks,
stones, wire and other obstacles from the
surface to be worked.
• Before use always check the condition of the
cutting mechanism. Do not use the appliance
when the cutting mechanism is worn.
• Never use the appliance with a damaged
guard or missing safety precautions, such as
deflection and/or grass collection features.
• Do not tilt the appliance when switching on the
motor, unless this is necessary for starting the
motor. If this is the case, do not tilt the
appliance more than necessary and only raise
the part of the appliance that is pointing away
from you. Make sure that both hands are in
working position before lowering the appliance
back to the ground.
• Never mow up and down a slope. Always mow
the slope transversely.
• Do not mow extremely steep slopes.
• Be extremely careful when moving backwards
or pulling the appliance towards you.
• Never lift or carry the appliance when the
motor is running.
• Prevent the cutting mechanism from touching
hard objects during use.
• If the appliance starts vibrating heavily or
jams, switch it off immediately and check it for
damage.
• Before putting the appliance down, switch off
the appliance and wait for the cutting
• mechanism to come to a complete standstill.
Never attempt to bring the cutting mechanism
to a standstill yourself.
• Remove the plug from the wall socket:
- before leaving the appliance;
- before unclogging the appliance;
