20.1 Stalling
Info
Als u de motorfiets voor langere tijd niet wilt gebruiken, moet u volgende maatregelen nemen of laten
nemen.
Controleer voordat u de motorfiets gaat stallen eerst of alle onderdelen goed werken en niet zijn versle-
ten. Als er servicewerkzaamheden, reparaties of wijzigingen nodig zijn, kunt u dat het beste doen tijdens
de overwintering (minder drukte bij de werkplaatsen). Zo voorkomt u lange wachttijden bij aanvang van
het seizoen.

In geen geval mogen hiervoor luchtdichte materialen
worden gebruikt, omdat er dan geen vocht kan ont-
snappen en er roest ontstaat.
Het is zeer slecht de motor van een gestalde motor-
fiets voor korte tijd te laten draaien. Aangezien de
motor daarbij niet voldoende warm wordt, conden-
seert de waterdamp die bij de verbranding ontstaat en
dit leidt ertoe dat de ventielen en uitlaatsysteem gaan
roesten.
