Winding the Bobbin

1. Guide the thread around the thread

guide.

2. Thread through the hole in the bob bin

from the inside to the outside. Put the

bobbin on the bobbin winder spindle.

3. Slide it to the right.

Caution: Never move the bobbin winder

spindle when the machine is running.

4. With the free end of the thread held

in your hand, depress the foot control.

Stop the machine when it has made a

few turns, and cut the thread close to

the hole in the bobbin.

5. Depress the foot control again. When

the bobbin is fully wound, it will

stop automatically. Return the bobbin

winder to its original position by

moving the spindle to the left, and cut

the thread as shown.

To use the additional spool pin, set the felt

and the spool as shown above.

The machine started bunching all the cotton on the underside of the material and would not progress. In the manual it suggests that lint might have collected, it had, so I cleaned this out thoroughly. I read troubleshooting in the manual and it mentioned the position of the feed teeth and the lever to the back and below the free arm bed, I slid this across and the teeth dropped but would not rise when I slid it back to the "raise feed teeth" position. It had no effect so now cannot use the machine. Can one repair this, if so, how? Thank you. Submitted on 8-12-2021 at 13:25
